Welcome to our brand new series... "Dracula: Where Is He Now?" Leah and Bri will be periodically releasing parts of this series, which will focus on Dracula's one hundred years of film stardom, over the next few months. Each part will thematically group pre- and post-2000 Dracula films.
We're starting, of course, with Nosferatu. "Part One: Nosferatu" highlights F. W. Murnau's seminal silent horror film Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror (1922) and Shadow of the Vampire (dir. E. Elias Merhige, 2000). Part One is TWO episodes! This is the second episode; the first episode released last week.
CORRECTION: Willem Dafoe lost the Oscar to Benicio del Toro for Traffic at the 2001 ceremony, which awarded films from 2000. Michael Caine won at the 2000 ceremony, which awarded films from 1999. Simply a Googling error on Leah's part.
